Amethyst is one of the two “Master Healers” (Clear Quartz being the other) and can be used on a wide variety of things. It comes from the Ancient Greek “Amethustos” which literally translates into ‘not drunk/intoxicated’. They would wear amulets made of Amethyst, carve goblets and chalices out of it; anything to help them imbibe further without losing their faculties. And so it is therefore used even today to help one to quit drinking or other bad habits. It is also used by many for insomnia, protection, vertigo, and is THE proverbial “Spiritual Stone”. It is one of the best to use in association with the Crown Chakra.
