Black Moonstone is thought to hold the energy of the New Moon and therefore can be used as a ‘Stone of New Beginnings’. Its protective and grounding energies are more gentle than your average darker crystals. It is a great stone to aid in grounding during meditation and is also thought to connect with the Black Madonna or Magdalene. It can also help one with psychic development.
