Aquamarine, in its light blue form, is the color of the Throat Chakra and therefore can be used for communication. It contains the energy of the sea and so therefore when it is used for communication, it can help one adapt: it can help you be strong and formidable when need be or calm and tranquil when it calls for it. Throat Chakra stones are great for those of us who have trouble being assertive and speaking our truth. Aquamarine is also the perfect stone to give to someone that you know will be traveling soon (especially if any boat) to help protect them on their journey. Sailors used to give pieces of aquamarine to one another when they knew they were about to go back out to sea.
