Unfortunately, most “Turquoise” people think of is actually Blue Howlite. Somewhere along the line, some unsavory people started selling Blue Howlite as “Turquoise” because it resembles the most expensive form of Turquoise. But most real Natural Turquoise runs the gamut of colors from brown to green, blue, and blue-green. The color most people think of when they think of Turquoise is a mostly bluish-green that is seen typically with the highest quality Turquoise; like in ‘Sleeping Beauty’, ‘Bisbee’, or ‘Morenci’ Turquoise. Turquoise has been used as an abundance and good luck stone for as long back as we can remember. People have also used it as a grounding stone because of its Earth tones, and a stone to help one speak with love and compassion.
